Glaciar Sur Pioneros

Glaciar Sur Pioneers is an option thought for those seeking exclusive experiences or a different glance at landmarks. It is a Patagonian gaze of the National Park Los Glaciares, which runs from the steppe to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
The tour goes through the old route of Patagonian ranches until reaching the National Park access through “Roca Lake” A low-decidious beech forest announces the arrival to Nibepo Aike ranch. Visiting the installations will make the whole group enjoy the rural environment until the time has come to taste a typical barbeque at Glaciar Sur’s table.
Later, the “Hautal”, a cabined rubber boat equipped with heating system, with a holding capacity of 14 people , leaves from the “Pioneers’ Quay” to navigate the Southern and Rico Canals. Panoramic views of Adriana and Moreno Hills and of Magallanes Peninsula will accompany the circuit until disembarking on De las Monedas Beach.
A pleasant walk through the forest is started on this beach to meet the immensity of Perito Moreno Glacier seen from “Glaciar Sur” viewpoint.
The navigation continues its itinerary to the southern front of Perito Moreno Glacier until reaching “Bajo las Sombras” Port, where a vehicle awaits to get to the traditional catwalks, having 2 hours to walk through them. In the afternoon, the sunlight gives unique glacier views.
The way back to town begins, taking Route N° 11. Thus, the tour finishes, having gone through a circuit that connects ranches, the Roca Lake, part of Argentino Lake and Perito Moreno Glacier: nature, history and culture of the area.Only 14 people out of the 2.000 visitors that daily enter the National Park will be able to live this magic experience.
